City of Hialeah’s Fleet Maintenance Department has been entrusted with the task of “KEEPING THE CITY ROLLING”. We currently maintain a diverse fleet of 1,600 units. These include automobiles, pick-up trucks, refuse trucks, fire engines, and transit buses, sweepers, construction and small equipment.

The department consists of 44 employees. Of those employees24 are mechanics, 3 tire installers, 1 welder, 4 equipment serviceman, 5 in the parts department, 3 shop supervisors, and administration consist of the Superintendent of Fleet, and his administrative staff. The Superintendent sets performance standards, prepares and oversees the department budget, provides operation planning and direction, works closely with the Mayor and City Council on department issues.
